Muslim Spiritual Care Services (MSCS) will participate in the 33rd Annual Scientific Convention of Federation of Islamic Medical Association in Cape Town, South Africa, September 20 – 23.

Chaplain Kamal Abu-Shamsieh will participate in three panels and will address the following topics: Spiritual Support in Patient-Care, assessment of religious needs of patient, and training staff in religious support for Muslim patients.

Our services aim to strengthen the spiritual well-being of Muslim patients. To receive our free spiritual care services at the hospital, hospice or home, patients and/or their families/friends may contact us by calling (559) 244-9360 or email [email protected]

Become a Volunteer!

Volunteers provide spiritual care support to patients and families. All volunteers receive training on how to assess the religious and spiritual needs of patients, protecting their privacy, topics to raise, dua or Quran to read. An application, interview, background check and meeting hospital guidelines are required.
