الدعاء عند إغماض الميت
Muslim chaplain, volunteer or family members may recite this supplication as they are closing the eyes of the deceased.
Oh God, forgive this patient (and mention the name) and raise her/his rank among the guided and the righteous. Oh Lord of the Worlds,forgive us all (including this person) and widen his/her grave and be their guiding light.
اللهم اغفر لفلان (باسمه) ورفع درجته في المهديين ، واغفر لنا وله يا رب العالمين ، وافسح له في قبره ونور له ونور له فيه

Prayer for the deceased
الدعاء للميت عند الصلاة عليه
Oh God, forgive him/her and have mercy on him/her, protect and pardon, honor their rank, and make their resting ground spacious. Oh, God, wash him/her with pure, fresh and cold water and purify him/her from any impurity or sin just as the white cloth is pure. Oh, God, make his/her abode in the Hereafter better than his/her previous life and his/her company better than the previous one, admit him/her to paradise, and protect him/her from the torment of the grave and the torment of the fire.
اللهم اغفر له وارحمه ، وعافه ، واعف عنه ، وأكرم نُزُله ، ووسع مُدخلهُ، واغسله بالماء والثلج والبرد ، ونقه من الخطايا كما ينقى الثوب الأبيض من الدنس ، وأبدله داراً خيراً من داره ، وأهلاً خيراً من أهله وزوجاً خيراً من زوجه ، وأدخله الجنة ،وأعذه من عذاب القبر ومن عذاب النار
Oh God, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present and those who are absent, our young and our old, and males and females. Oh, God, whoever among us you caused to live make him/her live in accordance with Islam, and whoever among you caused to die, make him/her die on the state of faith. Oh, God, grant us the rewards and protect us for being astray
اللهم اغفر لحينا ميتنا ، وشاهدنا و غائبنا ، وصغيرنا و كبيرنا ، و ذكرنا و أُنثانا
اللهم من أحييته منا فأحيه على الإسلام ، ومن توفيته منا فتوفه على الإيمان ، اللهم لا تحرمنا أجره ولا تضلنا بعده
Oh God, this deceased, son/daughter of your servant (name father and mother) is in your mercy, and dwelling in your company, protect him/her from the trial of the grave and the torment of the Fire. Oh God, you are the One who fulfills covenants and restores justice. Pardon our deceased and and forgive him/her. You are the Most Forgiving Most Merciful.
اللهم إن عبدك وابن عبدك وابن أمتك احتاج إلى رحمتك ، وأنت غني عن عذابه ، إن كان مُحسناً فزده في حسناته ، وإن كان مُسيئاً فتجاوز عنه
Oh God, your servant, son/daughter of your male and female servant, is in need of your mercy, and you are in no need of any torment. If he/she was from the righteous, increase their righteousness, and if he/she was from among the transgressors, pardon his/her transgression.
اللهم إن عبدك وابن عبدك وابن أمتك احتاج إلى رحمتك ، وأنت غني عن عذابه ، إن كان مُحسناً فزده في حسناته ، وإن كان مُسيئاً فتجاوز عنه

Supplication of Anguish / Distress دعاء الكرب
There is no god but Allah, The Almighty and Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Great Throne. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the holy throne.
لا إله إلا الله العظيم الحليم ، لا إله إلا الله رب العرش العظيم ، لا إله إلا الله رب السموات ورب العرش الكريم
Oh God, I need your mercy! Oh Lord, allow me not my own desire, even for the blink of an eye. Mend all my affairs, there is no god but You.
اللهم رحمتك أرجو فلا تكلني إلى نفسي طرفة عين ِ وأصلح لي شأني كله لا إله إلا أنت
There is no god but You! Glorified you are, I have wronged myself! Oh God, You are my Lord and I don’t associate anything with Him.
لا إله إلا أنت سبحانك إني كنت من الظالمين. الله ربي لا أشرك به شيئاً

Supplication for Sadness دعاء الهم و الحزن
Oh God, I servant I’m your servant, son/daughter of your servant, my forelock is in your hand, decisive in your judgment, just in your decrees. I ask you in the honor of each name you have named yourself or wrote in your Divine Book, or taught to any of Your creation or kept its knowledge to yourself in the World of the Unknown, I ask you to make the Quran spring to my heart, and light to my heart, and relief of my sorrow and removal of my anguish.
اللهم إني عبدك ابن عبدك ابن أمتك ناصيتي بيدك ، ماضِ في حكمك ، عدل في قضاؤك ، أسألك بكل اسم هو لك سميت به نفسك أو أنزلته في كتابك ، أو علمته أحداً من خلقك أو استأثرت به في علم الغيب عندك أن تجعل القرآن ربيع قلبي ، ونور صدري وجلاء حزني وذهاب همي
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say, “O Allah! I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by (other) men.
